| ReleaseTEAM and WebLayers Webinar |

Thanks to everyone who tuned into the WebLayers and
ReleaseTEAM webinar
on September 28th. We discussed the critical roles played by software governance and environment optimization
in the development lifecycle.
Together- ReleaseTEAM and WebLayers solve "governance pain points" by addressing the technical
issues around the software development lifecycle. The road to success for software
development projects depends on sound Configuration Management processes, properly
configured development tools, and mitigating risks associated with non-compliance
to your organization's best practices and standards.

Personality Matters - CM and ALM for Small Teams
WRITTEN BY CMC MEDIA, Leslie Sachs
Re-printed here with permission through partnership with ReleaseTEAM
Small teams always evoke an image of a warm and cozy work environment that exudes a strong sense of purpose and belonging. Small teams are like families where everyone knows each other and boundaries between professional and personal lives are often blurred. Anyone who has ever actually run a family business knows that the reality is rarely quite as rosy. Small teams can have big dynamics that threaten the team's success in terms of productivity and effectiveness. If you need to manage or even just belong to a small team, then you'll want to become familiar with some of these important dynamics. This article will examine some of the essential people issues that arise when implementing configuration management (CM) and application lifecycle management (ALM) with small teams.

SmartBear-IBM Rational Webinar
|
|
|

Hardware and embedded software development teams working independently need a better way to communicate and collaborate. Teams need to work together to find problems and defects, to learn from each other, to simplify their interactions, and to design and deliver the best possible solutions to challenging issues. Also: It's nice to connect with your colleagues once in a while to solve a problem.
Reviews are a critical step to improve both product quality and team collaboration. For example, reviews catch bugs in medical devices, potentially saving lives; reviews find product defects that can eliminate recalls. Unfortunately, reviews are often viewed as tedious and inefficient. Or, worse, they are skipped altogether.
Join IBM Rational and SmartBear on Tuesday October 25th at 11:00 am EST for this informative webinar and learn first hand:
- Which review techniques improve collaboration the fastest among hardware and software development teams
- How integrated software solutions can improve quality across the product development lifecycle
- How to reduce, or even eliminate, the mounds of paper that often result from technical reviews
- Improve your company's accountability and regulatory requirements by better capturing review metrics
