Clients and toolsets

Posted to Work category
I love my clients and I'm very fond of the tool sets I've chosen to build my corporation around.

This weekend, I'm not so sure of the above comment.

I've been working on a data restore problem with one of my main clients since Friday evening. Due to a major screw up on the clients part and poor architecture on the tool's part, it's become a major pain in the ass.

The client's co-workers are screaming at her to get things fixed, and due to the state of the data and how the vendor has us recover, it is making this a nightmare. While we have recovered all data, it's still not in a usable state, and in the eyes of the users it's still all lost/corrupted.

I'm confident I'll get her threw this, but I'm not happy with her IT dept and the way the tool set has my hands tied.
