Mon, 20 Jul 2009Birds and the PlaguePosted to Home categoryA local dog park has been closed due to an outbreak of the plague the prairie dogs are enjoying. This park is very close to the area Shane and I were walking each morning. We have since switched to walking around the block. Better safe than plaguey.Since we started walking around the block, we've noticed we picked up fans. A mother bird and four baby birds great us from the side of a fence a few houses down from ours. Later on they appear again and hop and fly around on the road just a few feet ahead of us. They lead us 2/3rds of the way down the last part of the block. We have been doing four laps around the block to equal our walk around Kettner lake. Each time around the birds show up at roughly the same spots and lead us around.
