Wed, 13 Aug 2008 @ 15:38 || 'Daily Show' will travel to Denver for DNC || FunnyArticleI wonder if we can get into a taping? Or at the very least see one of the actors doing a local piece. link to story || 1 comment || Add a comment Wed, 13 Aug 2008 @ 14:47 || Politic Road Trip || PoliticsThis actually seems like fun. Where is the Red is a group of college kids driving around helping out campaigns. I don't agree with most of what they are pushing, but hey, any excuse for a road trip. Their webpage has a place you can donate to them, which I assume pays their gas/lodging, there's no mention of what the donations are used for on their website. One refreshing note, remarkably missing from their website is any mention of religion. link to story || 0 comments || Add a comment Wed, 13 Aug 2008 @ 14:12 || Jethro Tull || HomeShane and I saw Jethro Tull last night at Red Rocks. Was a good show. We had a little rain during the opening act, otherwise it was great weather. This concert had surprisingly few drugs, at the Rush concert last year almost everyone lit up. Last night I only noticed one couple. Not sure if this was a different crowd or if they've tighted down at Red Rocks. I'm guessing different crowd. We went up to Red Rocks a little eariler this time, getting into the upper parking lot, so we could walk down into the stadium instead of having to walk up. We sat in the van and listened to Raw Dog on Sirius. There were a few tailgaters that were entertaining to watch. I almost caught a frisbee without getting out of the van. link to story || 0 comments || Add a comment |
