Sun, 03 Aug 2008 @ 18:34 || Happy Friendship, International Forgiveness, Watermelon and Sisters Day || National

Seems like the first Sunday in August has a lot of days assigned to it. Apparently someone one wants us to forgive and be friends with our sisters while eating watermelon.

I do have a watermelon, but I'm not about to call my sister anytime soon.

Yesterday we went to see Hell Boy II, electric bugaloo.

Hell Boy II

Shawn:
Shane:

We both don't remember the first movie that well. Probably should have rented it before seeing this one. Overall we both liked it, and thought it was very well done. Not remembering what happened in the first movie didn't seem to matter much.

On DVD

Idiocracy

Shawn:
Shane:

A funny movie from the maker of Bevis and Butthead and King of the Hill. If it had a decent budget this could have been a summer blockbuster, better editing, a more polished script and better effects. Since it was done on a modest budget it only gets 3 treasures. Still a good movie.

Stargate SG1: Continuum

Shawn:
Shane:

A very enjoyable dvd for Stargate fans. If you haven't followed the series it will be confusing and probably boring. Richard Dean Anderson returns as Jack O'Neil and really makes this dvd, his part is not as integral to the story line as I would have liked. I would have only given it 3 treasures, but it involved Time Travel.
